With this model, the Iveco S-Way is now also available as a DHL model. The vehicle appears in a one-time edition in the form of a volume plan tandem trailer with swap bodies. DHL was founded in 1969, just months after Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. DHL is based on the first letters of the surnames of the “founding fathers” Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom and Robert Lynn. First, freight documents were personally flown from San Francisco to Honolulu to begin customs clearance of ocean freight prior to actual arrival, thereby significantly reducing port waiting time. It was not until ten years later that the service was expanded to include parcel delivery.
