Pre-war Opel allowed the people of the post-war era to go places
WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer already had a good reason for adding the first-generation Opel Blitz as a classic to the selection in the seventies. The Blitz bonnet truck was considered an all-purpose truck not only during the war years, but also in the years that followed. Without the Opel Blitz from the war years, reconstruction after the war would have become more gruelling. After all, many hundreds of vehicles from Wehrmacht stocks had survived the years and came to new honours in a new design. The flatbed lorry was revered as reliable, especially since spare parts were still readily available.
Year manufacture – 1935-44
Note – Model item, not a toy! Not suitable for children under 14 years.
