All hands on board – the double cab makes it possible! The new, extremely off-road capable Unimog 437.4 series was presented to the public for the first time in April 2013. This vehicle cannot be described with more appropriate advertising slogans such as “off-road capable”, “robust” and “efficient”. It is designed to overcome almost any obstacle. The new tire pressure control system “tirecontrol plus” always ensures the right setting for the respective surface. The switch logic allows the user to choose between “road”, “sand” and “rough road”. For example, lowering the tire pressure when driving off-road improves traction and protects the ground at the same time – sophisticated technology for more comfort.

The 1:87 scale model with the double cab of the powerful powerhouse appears simple, but this is refuted on second glance by various features. The front area is characterized by a very wide radiator grille and a large bonnet. Due to its various possible uses, e.g. in flooded areas, the U 5023 has a raised intake chimney and raised ventilation lines. Delicate, highly detailed exterior mirrors and windshield wipers in the finest injection molding technology are inserted as separate parts. A look underneath the model is also absolutely worthwhile. Here you can see all the details from the vehicle frame to the axle suspension, the units and the side steps. The large flatbed is covered with a tarpaulin on which every little fold and the complete outline of the bow can be seen. Coarse-tread tires with model-typical rims are of course an absolute matter of course on the miniature.

This model with its razor-sharp contours and the finest engravings enriches the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle fleet with another highlight “Made in Germany”.
