Fiat 600 – the little Italian and Beetle competitor
In its dark blue livery, the Fiat 600 has a hint of the times – in 1955, the year of the little Italian’s première, dark paintwork was favoured and welcomed. The traditional model makers have miniaturised this small car in all its detail – and even improved it with silver ornamental trim. This includes the unmistakable, backwards opening “suicide doors”, fitted to the prototype until 1964. From very early on, the Fiat 600 counted as a success story: At that time, more than 890,000 Fiat 600 vehicles were built – many of them in Heilbronn, Germany
