It really existed: Mercedes-Benz 300 SL in bright yellow
Yes, the prototype really existed! A dispute long raged whether the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL really existed in the unusually bright yellow. In the meantime, the experts are now certain that with this original everything happened as described. Even back in the 1950s there were special ordering requests for particular cars. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL counts as a Roadster legend, and it left everyone who saw it weak at the knees because of its automotive elegance. This SL was, and still remains, an automotive dream. The WIKING model has correspondingly attractive detailing – exterior and interior are miniaturised true-to-life. Today, it is only too frequently forgotten that the model conception at the time represented a well-regarded innovation: Since then, at WIKING the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster has enjoyed a special character, because it remains one of the few models whose opened bonnet provides a clear view of the engine block. And this time too the block is shiny silver!
