It was Klaus-Dieter Hinkelmann, for many decades at WIKING Operations Manager, who himself drove the legendary 911 for many years – at that time even in the popular amateur races on the Avus. This is how WIKING boss Fritz Peltzer decided to miniaturize the then revolutionary Porsche in H0 size – Klaus-Dieter Hinkelmann liked it. At the time, Porsche had established a real success story with the 911, which made the sports car manufacturer an automotive legend.
