Track scales, also known as weighbridges, are used to weigh individual freight cars. They are usually installed near loading tracks and permanently installed. The freight wagons are usually weighed before and after loading or unloading. The difference in the measurement results is then the mass of the charge. The model for N track without roadbed has a prototype with a weighing house made of corrugated iron, which can be heated on cold days.
