Description
Scale 1:200
After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, this passenger DC-3 became a military C-53 Skytrooper, which was first used for supply flights across the Atlantic to England and then transferred to the North African theater of war.
After a long civilian post-war career, she found her first resting place in Beach City, Ohio, until she was accidentally discovered and bought by Jason Capra in 2015. After five years of hard work, the Vintage Wings team was able to present their “Beach City Baby” to the public in their historic Air Transport Command livery. New was the nostalgic nose art, named after the place where this veteran’s second life began.
Small and life-like model for Adult collectors. Not suitable for children under 14 years!
