HO – 1:87 Scale
Any paintwork will do, as long as its bi-coloured
Ice blue and white body, luggage stowed on the roof, and the fine chequered curtains drawn – this is how the real-life brother of the VW T2a used to set out on a journey. The paint varied between pastel tones and solid colours, with the upper half of the body contrasted in white. Bi-colour was still en vogue in the age of the T2. No wonder that the VW “Bulli” of the second generation quickly became a holiday favourite and gradually took the place of the T1. Both of them were to become uniformly beloved classics. The VW T2 took you wherever you pointed your compass – in an unconventional way, of course. One thing was certainly guaranteed: unfettered camping fun thanks to the pop-up roof.
